It has been an entire year since Brinley has been home. After spending a year in captivity at the Elusive Chamber her biggest fear is her freedom. The fear of showing up after a year without a word. The fear that life and the man she loves moved on without her. Now that Brinely is free from her captors her life belongs to her again. As she rides in the back of the limo heading to her childhood home, she can’t help but wonder if every one else in her life has moved on, or did they hit the pause button the day she went missing. Life isn’t perfect, not by a long shot, but Brinely Avery Bishop’s life was just about as perfect as it could get. She had the most amazing boyfriend, Logan. She was going into her senior year of college, and she and her boyfriend were planning to move to New York. Brinley’s near perfect life and bright future were snatched away from her when she was snatched in broad daylight, and held captive at The Chamber, an exclusive sex club for the world’s richest men. Fast forward a year. Brinley is released and sent home. With specific orders to speak to no one of her whereabouts for the last year, how is she expected to drop back into her old life? Will she be able to hit the reset button and resume her perfect life? Will Logan still be there, waiting for her? Will she even be the same happy person she was before she was taken? Take the journey of rediscovery with Brinley as she tries to bury the recent past and reclaim her once perfect life, while shedding the memories of her life at The Chamber.

By Amy Sheets This story is short and a rather quick read. After dealing with being a chambermaid Violet is finally going home. She has a boyfriend of 2 years waiting on her but they were practicing absenince. And after what violet has had to endure, well, things aren't looking good for them as a couple. She's not the same Violet that was taken she's Brinley with a lot more of Violet in her. She's expierenced, she's shook up because of her experience and only one thing can make it all better with the one person she loves. But will Logan be the person that she needs. Will he accept the new Brinley and accept her with open arms?!

I fell in love with the story By Bea I received this book as a gift from the author. After reading the first book in this series, I fell in love with the story. This second book is as good as the first one. Now, it's Brinley's turn. She was called Violet in The Chamber. I love the way she grows as a character through the story. The feeling I got in the first book was that she is one of the weakest girls and probably she still is at the beginning of the second book. But the moment she wakes up and realises that she has to love herself above the others and move on... I just wanted to stand up and begin clapping. She is a victim who needs love and to be comforted. She doesn't have to be explaining herself and feeling bad for it.I loved every minute of this book. From the development of Brinley until its wonderful ending..And again, D.W.Marshall left me hanging and waiting desperately for the next girl!

This novella is like an epilogue on steroids. It is exactly what you wanted after the first book but would have been too long to include as an epilogue. The beginning of this book rehashes a lot of the emotional trauma of the first book. Rather than just being repetitious, it puts the reader into the mindset to appreciate Violet’s story. It leaves you desperate for a happily ever after.I worried that Brin wouldn’t figure out what she needed to heal herself. I found it stressful that Brin could just as easily fall apart as she could reclaim herself. When she finally figures it out what she needs, it is no guarantee that she’ll get it.
