Seeing Through Blindness is a memoir written in the form of a narrative poem that reads like a novel. It will be a blessing to anyone who has ever struggled with God, or a drug addiction, or a disability. I have battled with all three and through God’s grace was victorious. The topics I have written about in my book are raw and from the heart. And, so, from an emotional perspective, Seeing Through Blindness drew me out of my comfort zone, but, at the same time, it needed to be written and was cathartic. So, with poetry as my shovel, I dug deeply into my past and unearthed this casket of memories that lied buried for years. It covers a period in my life, from ages 11 to 22, which gives readers a glimpse into one of the most painful and defining phases of my life. I opened up this peephole into my past to show who I was before I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I hope the person who materializes through these pages might become a torch to help guide someone from out of darkness and toward hope. And though only a sliver of my eyesight remains, I am still Seeing Through Blindness by the Light of Jesus, my Lord.

About the Author Seeing Through Blindness is Matt Harris’ fourth book. He lives in Glen Burnie, Maryland and is the proud father of two daughters, Julia and Abby. On December 12, 1982, Matt turned from his sins and put his trust fully in Jesus Christ for his eternal salvation. He also does street evangelism and started a gospel tract ministry in the year 2000. Matt is also 99% blind and has lost 60% of his hearing as a result of an incurable genetic disease called Ushers Syndrome. Despite this dual sensory disability, he finds contentment with Jesus. God has comforted and reassured Matt many times with the following Scripture: “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Seeing Through Blindess Great read By rick 1 This book will take you through the life of the author, Matt brings you back to a time when life was all about the music and the things we did to escape life and the trials of it. He brings you through the high and low points of his life, there will be times when you will be laughing, and times when you will be holding back the tears. The book is a great read and Matt's life will show you that through Christ all things are possible no matter how far you run from Him. Get the book, get a large cup of coffee, sit down in a comfortable chair because your going to be there for a while. Enjoy the trip through Matt's life.

It's so amazing to see how the Lord worked in Matt's life, his book shows how God can turn our trials to triumphs. This book was such a blessing to me, after reading I had to buy more to share with my family, friends and co-workers. Thank you Matt for sharing your testimony, it was such a blessing to me.

If you think you are at your whits end... read this book... you will find hope in the midst of struggle... You will find light in the midst of darkness...You will find out that your have a divine purpose but sometimes it takes going through struggles in order to find your purpose... NEVER GIVE UP...
