The Amazing Grace Tour, is the true story of a journey of racial reconciliation, asking forgiveness for Liverpool's role in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. It starts on Liverpool's Pier Head, and ends on Jekyll Island, Georgia, in the USA. The author found during his trip, that healing and justice, have to take place in the context of forgiveness in order for there to be real reconciliation, and that experiencing God's grace is the key to achieving it. Review "A compelling historical accounting, personal journey and spiritual odyssey. Geoff Sadler has shined a light on a dark corner of history, weaving together historical research with his own experience. "The Amazing Grace Tour" will resonate not only with anyone interested in race issues, but also those seeking to infuse their spiritual lives with greater power and purpose. Impressive." Steven Rosenblatt, Attorney, New York, New York, USA"It is refreshing to see someone who is not afraid to tackle this issue. Racism is one of the most insidious problems in human nature. I think this is in part because it is extremely difficult to identify and even more difficult to acknowledge. This work goes a long way toward pointing our attention toward real healing and not simply 'quick fixes' in the area of racial reconciliation."Nichele Washington, Indiana, USA"In a landscape riddled with the refuse of past moral failure and pride--amongst the spiritual debris stands ensigns of reconciliation. Geoff's book The Amazing Grace Tour is one of those mile-markers of hope on the long bumpy road of humanity. This book is a invaluable tool to anyone really serious about revival."Chad Taylor, Georgia, USA
From the Author "Slavery is still a stain upon the soul of America" George W Bush once said, and racial disharmony is still very much a part of its culture; but it needn't be that way! We don't have to live as victim's of the past and whether we're the perpetrator's of wrongdoing or the victim's of it, there's always hope and a way of restoration. But I don't believe as some do, that it's as simple as just deciding to move on. That's part of it, but real healing has to take place first, and it can.Injustice has played such a part in shaping Africans and African Americans into who they are now, or at least who they are perceived to be; but that's not their real identity, it's only the one that's been thrust upon them. My journey was about identification really. About listening to people and not being afraid of their anger, and about recognizing that you're not better than anyone because of the color of your skin or even your social standing. What I did and was a part of, may seem like an unusual thing to do, but sometimes unusual things are needed in order to raise awareness; especially when the wounds run so deep and are so far in the past.Writing 'The Amazing Grace Tour' was a voyage of discovery for me also in a lot of ways. It helped me think through issues such as justice and reparations, and how they fit within the context of experiences like grace and forgiveness. I hope that it challenges people to look deeper than the paradigm of political correctness or personal rights, to see that God has His ways of bringing about solutions to things, that go beyond our way of thinking and present practices. And I hope that it will inspire others to bring about healing to their cities and nations also, so that historical prejudices and division become a thing of the past.
From the Back Cover I am glad to know Geoff Sadler. He has taken a journey all of us in America need to make in some way. It's a journey of searching our collective soul about our past mistakes and present prejudice. Geoff is the real deal and simply found himself led by the Spirit into one of the most pressing issues of our day, racial reconciliation. This book will not answer all the questions or solve all the issues regarding race relations in America, but it will stir your heart to look deeper than political correctness and past any personal denial. It truly is an amazing grace tour. Pastor Denny Cline Albany, Oregon, USAThis man is one of the few voices acknowledging this. Rather than reopening wounds, it's an opportunity to heal wounds that have never been closed. It's an attempt by God to bring significant healing to the generation that is living today.Pastor Donn Thomas Atlanta, Georgia, USA

By Deirdra Doan ."The Amazing Grace Tour" is a moving story of how the past can and does still effect people today. It gives you empathy as you hear stories of real African American individuals today and for me, it was so moving to hear their stories in their own words. It is inspiring and hopeful to see how prayer and love is so very simple and yet so healing. The book gave me an understanding and insight into the pain and anger of some African Americans and how much prayer and reconciliation needs to happen in order to heal the people and our country. This book is especially timely now in light of the news and riots, anger and pain with police involved in African American deaths. It is all very confusing, but this message is needed more than ever and helps straighten out a lot of the confusion.
