I was so engrossed in this story that I didn't hear my name called twice- put this one on your reading list By Beverly Clark I bought this book because I saw it was based on a true story. I was looking for a book that would be a good read but not too long as I wanted something to read while I was waiting at my doctor's office. The nurse had to call me twice lol as I was so engrossed that I didn't hear my name called.She and my doctor both wanted to know more about this book. The author writes really well and draws you into the situations with him. He addresses the subject of voodoo and the cultural part of voodoo also. The story is about a contractor and his interaction with someone who professed to practice voodoo.I see now that the author has more than one book and I definitely will be following his writing. This is a really good story and worth every single one of five stars.
