Review "This is the best rendition of the 'Twelve Dancing Princesses' fairy tale I've read. It's very suspenseful and the storytelling is beautiful. This is a must read for fairy tale lovers and those that like a hero struggling to get his love returned." ~ Books On Silver Wings "[Reworking 'Twelve Dancing Princesses'] was a perfect choice with [Flight's] creative take on the traditional fairy lore. I found it all fascinating and incredibly well done, with lots of magic and an exciting fairy world. I definitely recommend Love's Nest, especially for folks looking for a new spin on the fairy tales." ~ Joyfully Jay M/M Romance Reviews"As I love Andrews' and Blake's other two slash fairytales, I am happy to see they have written another one. This story is based on the German fairy tale,' Twelve Dancing Princesses' with a gay twist, and the writing is again, lovely -- with that touch of fairytale-like language." ~ Boys In Our Books

I never read the fairy tale that this story was based off of, so I came in not really knowing what to expect. This will be sprinkled with mild spoilers, but not anything that couldn't be guessed by the blurb. The story was well written, first of all. I found it engrossing and hard to put down. I do admit to being unhappy during the majority of it though. The reason it only got four stars (it was going to be three till the ending) instead of five was because I don't think I can read this book again. Perhaps I'm too much like Mateo, because I was furious through most of the book. His sister's emasculating him was my issue at first. I'm pretty sure that it was all meant to be silly and light hearted, but I tend to be a killjoy. Then by the fairies he meets that are attached to said sisters. The fact that the authors made him incapable of actually defending himself against the fairies, so he can't even challenge them when they glibly treat him like a lesser thing. I don't like when free-will is taken away. Opalo does try to sweetly woo Mateo over and doesn't give the 'date rape cake' (I can't help but think of it as such, even if the sisters were 'willing' when they ate it, since they lose the desire to question and only seek sex and their next 'fix'). I like him better for it, but it still felt as though Mateo would be forced into something he didn't desire no matter what. Even then, Opalo does treat Mateo as a lesser at times.I admit to having some issues with the 'fated mate' trope, but I have never encountered it where I disliked it this much. Maybe it was that Opalo and his siblings kept referring to Mateo as a bride, again with the emasculation as everyone laughs at Mateo for it. I dare say that Mateo is turned into a woman during the course of the story, submitting to Opalo. Having secretly desired it the whole time(insert eye roll and derisive snort here). Now! Again, this was NOT a bad story. Well written with a flowing dialogue that I found enchanting. Overall, I do think this is a tale worth sharing. The ending didn't make me want to throw my phone. Heck, it mollified me enough to smile and finally get a warm and fuzzy. It was too short to really get to know the characters, but I do think there is enough to differentiate between a few of the 24 siblings. They aren't all well-rounded, but they don't fall flat (it's a rather large cast, after all). I would recommend this book to others.

By Nikki Not a bad read, but the strangest, and probably my least favorite in the Tempting Tales series.I liked that there was some diversity here, but I think I just wasn't crazy about the fantastical faeries and their bizarre appearances. Just didn't do much for me. I was also very annoyed with how Mateo was treated by pretty much everybody (except Opalo) which made me feel frustrated at times. I thought his approach was super reasonable, tbh.Again, I did enjoy this one overall. the writing was fabulous, and the sex scenes were super hot. But I didn't find it quite as enchanting as the first two in this series, which was a little disappointing, since I think this was the longest one.
