Harvey, and OMG I LOVED it so much!Callum Alexander is a talented, successful architect, and highly sought after bachelor, who lives his life hiding behind a mask. He has a darkness he's afraid to give in to because the scandal would explode from his actions if it got out. So he refuses to let any woman in. However, he never saw her coming until it was too late. Lucia "Luce" Harding is completely different from the women he's used to dealing with. She's independent, loyal, strong, feisty, full of sass, stubborn, and knocks down every one of his walls, plus the ones he tries to build with her. Will Callum drop his mask and take a chance on love?I'm a first time reader of this author, and frankly, I couldn't get enough of this story. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out Callum's dark secret while reading, and was shocked when I did, as I was sure it was 10 times worse. Character development is great, and I really enjoyed the story being told in his POV. The storyline is well written, highly addicting, and flows smoothly. The secrets and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat cover to cover, and I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest a couple of times. Callum and Luce's chemistry exploded out of my kindle, which led to extremely SCORCHIN HOT sexy scenes. BJ Harvey did an amazing job with her fantastic writing style grabbing my attention from the beginning, and holding it hostage to the end. Actually, to be honest, she still has it since I haven't quite moved on to another book yet. I'm a new fan, and so very excited to read more of her books ASAP!

By mjlovestoread Crave could be BJ Harvey’s most thought-provoking book to date. An idea swirling around in the author’s head for the past two years, I for one, am thrilled it finally has a voice.This is the gripping love story between Callum and Lucia. Each independent, strong people who know what they want and how to get it and when they find an almost instant attraction to each other upon meeting, each is thrown for a loop. He is the well-known local golden boy architect who seems to have the world at his feet and she is the co-owner of a Greek restaurant with her brother. Callum doesn't need nor does he want a relationship. He is used to having a woman when the desire strikes him but never wants the intimacy that a one-on-one union would entail. That is until he meets the beautiful Lucia. And then it's all he can do to stop himself from wanting more.From the very first pages, there is a distinct air about Callum that I truly liked. He isn't the typical macho alpha but instead a man who harbors a dark need he is afraid to fully embrace. He gives a sense of vulnerability that I adored. Although he wears a mask when he is with clients or the press or anyone in the public, to know that only a few, being a close friend and confidant in Grant or his immediate family, ever really see the true Callum, left me more than intrigued.With Lucia, the mask starts to disappear and with that is an exposure Callum just isn’t used to. His unease with this newly-found persona is suddenly threatened by a particularly devastating incident that he fears will cause him to lose the only woman that has gotten through to him. Together with an underlying mystery that is filled with many twists and turns and could cause complete professional ruin for Callum and his company, the author has successfully created a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat!I was taken completely off -guard many times throughout this journey, with the last line a truly perfect way to end this story.It is a book NOT to be missed. You will find yourself applauding the author for stepping a bit out of her comfort zone and giving us a book that won’t soon be forgotten. I can only hope we hear more from some of the secondary characters because clearly they too, have a tale to tell.A solid 5 stars!!

Gripping and suspenseful right until the very end By Natarsha Smerdon Sometimes you wait for a book for so long that you build it up so much in your mind that by to time it is released, you're left feeling a little bit disappointed....this did not happen with Crave! With each new teaser I saw, I got more and more intrigued and the final result was a book that held me captivated with every twist and turn, literally right up until to the very last word.From the time I first read the blurb, I became a little obsessed with trying to work out what Callum's "thing" was. Was he into BDSM? Did he have some super kinky fetish? Was he a vampire? Enter Lucia. I'm a huge fan of strong, smart heroines and this is something BJ Harvey excels at writing. Luce is the type of woman who is mature enough and confident enough to know what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. There is no beating around the bush with her. One of the things I loved most about her though was how good she was at talking to Callum. She just had a way of listening and encouraging him, both sexually and in his everyday life, without coming across as condescending or preachy. In a way she is very therapeutic for Cal with the calming effect she have over him and the way she could break down walls so the self enforced social mask Callum wore slowly disappeared. Basically Lucia is Callum's equal on all levels and shows him that the best Callum Alexander is the one he keeps hidden. The biggest surprise for me was how much interest I had in Callum's professional side. At one point, this actually became the main focus for me and I had forgotten that there was this dark craving he suppresses. It became quite clear that there was so much more to this story. The further you got, the more layers unfolded and you realised just how complex Cal's life could get. A big part of this is the celebrity status and notoriety that the media can place on a person because they have achieved prominence in their profession and have than image they can work with. Reputations have a way of being built on what's reported in the news, no matter how much truth is in it, and this can affect they lives in all facets. While there is always the danger of trying to be too tricky by putting too much into a storyline and having it fall flat, this was so well thought out and written that everything just combined to create a most enthralling saga.This is serious book hangover material and I can't wait for more! I'm totally in love with Callum's best friend, Grant, so there must be a second book!
