Pretty good read By Kam (request submitted by author for an honest critique)First, I want to state that I hadn't read the rest of the series when I was asked to review book three, Courting Danger. The only time this became an issue was when the name "Eddie" was dropped out of nowhere. I wondered if he was a key person in the other books. However, Kimberly clued us in on who Eddie was and the past he shared with Rielle so have no fear you'll be lost or confused for more than a few pages, at most. With that said.....If I was basing my review on this being classified as a mystery, I'd say it fell flat.If I was critiquing this as a romance/suspense book, then I would say it had that in spades. My only snafu comment about the romance aspects of this tale is this..... Mel aka Darien came to the office seeking an escort to a White House event. Rielle, not an escort, agrees to go with him (with much reluctance) even though she's not an escort and she doesn't believe his name is Mel or that he's really an accountant. At the event, the jig is up. However, she still decides to have unprotected sex with him multiple times. Heck, through the entire book, they never once spoke about protection, partners, STD's, possible pregnancies. NADA!! I guess a hot bod and great sex makes you forget all those details. As a reader, not so much.I will say, despite those factors, the sex scenes were sizzlin. When it came time to decide on a score, I thought about the lack of mystery and the bedroom blunders. I almost gave this story a 3 but I simply couldn't because Kimberly had Rielle kicking butt ..... literally!!You just have to love a woman who can handle herself!!

By booksalh There are many elements I look forward to in Kimberly Dean's writing: the often pure-hearted good-girl personality who would enjoy being a bit more naughty and wicked. The intense man of decisive action and few words focused on watching out for and protecting his lady. The details of the characters' professions in each storyline. I found these elements and more in Courting Danger. This title is an unique addition to the author's series as there is a focus on mystery and suspense, and a real threat to Rielle's personal wellbeing. I thought there could have been greater insight into Rielle and Dariens' family backgrounds, but this couple's connection while facing various challenges is enjoyable to read. There is also more great buildup to a story for Nina and Detective Morgan. As with the last book, the epilogue focused on this couple and hopefully their HEA is next to be written and published!*an honest review of A NetGalley copy

Good girl Rielle Sands might have bitten off more than she could chew when she excepted bad boy "Mel's" invitation for dinner at the Whitehouse. Since then her boringly normal life has been turned upside down. First there is a stalker, then she's caught up in secret government missions, then there is the smoking hot alpha male who makes her head spin. Put it all if that together and you have one hell of a book. This book is amazing. Five stars all the way!
