This Cowboy Book Is Something Special By Anonymous I've loved all the books in this series and I grabbed this as soon as it came out, but as good as the others have been, I have to say this one is unique. The author has subtly and cleverly woven in a touch of magic. It's not overt, but it's there, and it made me smile. The basic story is a girl from an artsy family in California, meets a down home (albeit successful) rancher in a small town in Montana and finds herself falling for him. An interesting and unexpected bombshell lands in their lap, and it opens the door for them to spend more time together, which they both want, (for reasons that are made clear - like, her first spanking which shocks, but totally tantalizes her, I think that's how it's described). The relationship develops (with some seriously graphic, hot sex scenes), but there are other characters and sub-plots that tickled my curiosity. I don't want to be a spoiler so I'll leave it at that, but everything that happens comes together at the end in a very unique way. Lots of tender romance, funny moments, and a total page turner. Loved it.

Hot Cowboy, Hot Girl, Hot, Sweet, Romantic Story By Aquariux I appreciate how this author helps us to understand her characters, and Crystal and Clay are no exception. Clay is not your ordinary cowboy. He's runs a large ranch, taking over for his cattle baron father, so leadership is natural for him. Crystal, from San Francisco, is a free-spirited girl who is drawn to him, and then even more enamored after a quick trip over his knees following a date one night. Enter a surprise that neither of them anticipated, and it gives Clay an excuse to spend even more time with her. The question is subtly asked, is this surprise just coincidence, fate, or the work of some loving, other-worldly force? While all this is going on, Clay's father is worried the girl will whisk Clay out of the ranch when she leaves the small town. I adored Clay's mother, and then there's the brother who doesn't quit fit the family mold. I found myself rooting for him. This book has several unexpected twists. Like Ms. Carpenter's other books, it's a page-turner. Thoroughly enjoyed it and definitely worth the price of admission.

Especially when one is a strong-willed country cowboy, and the other a carefree young woman from the big city. Clay Parker is a rancher and Crystal Morrison is an aspiring writer whose mother is a painter and whose father is a musician. They meet up when Crystal, who has never been through a white winter, decides to stay in Montana, so she can experience snow for the first time. It doesn't take long for the sparks to fly, and Clay pulls Crystal over his knee for a quick spanking. She is stunned, but when he leaves her with a "Rhett Butler kiss," she finds herself moving from mortified to captivated. The story takes off when an unexpected 'something' (don't want to be a spoiler) falls into Crystal's lap, and that something is for him. The romantic relationship develops, and light BDSM is explored and wonderfully described. There are other elements to the story, and they all weave together to a climatic, satisfying end. Great read, with sex, spankings, love and surprises. Definitely worth reading!
