About the Author Matthew E. McLaren, PhD, earned a PhD in applied nutrition and worked for the Province of Ontario as a chief engineer. Retired, he is a part-time pipefitter/steamfitter. McLaren and his wife, Theresa, live in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. They have four children, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. This is his fourth book.
