Silverleaf and Kaylissa are both well-developed characters and I can't wait to see where the story takes them. Even though I am not a fan of short books there is no way I could just stop with this season. I definitely can't wait to read all seven episodes in The Dragon masters' series. Trigili has layed out a new and exciting world that I can't wait to explore with every additional season!

The individual episodes are easily digested, but leave one ready for the next By glenn robinson Trigili has crafted a well-written, fast-paced adventure. Silverleaf Chronicles Season 1 is a six-course meal, and Episode 1: The Wanderer is the appetizer. It is interesting in its own right and introduces the major forces, concepts and characters without giving away the series plot. The individual episodes are easily digested, but leave one ready for the next. Episode 6: Hope presumably foreshadows Season 2, while winding up Season 1. Much as The Hobbit sets up Lord of the Rings, The Storymaster sets up Silverleaf. It is not essential, but it is worth reading, as there is a resonance between David's Last Ride, as related in The Storymaster, and Episode 6 of Silverleaf. The story opens in a post-apocalyptic farm-and-blacksmith culture. An invasion by a higher tech army propels the story. Kaylissa and Silverleaf are both complex characters at the outset, but their characters are revealed and developed slowly through the season. The main threads of Silverleaf concern the development of Kaylissa into a powerful warrior, the incremental revelation of the depth of her character, the redemption of Silverleaf, and the fate of their culture (twilight or rebirth). Trigili is a good storyteller, the text is well-polished, there are meaty characters, and there are no aggravating homonym errors! I enjoyed reading Silverleaf and I recommend it.

Definitely an awesome start to a new series of stories where you can't wait to see what the next adventure will hold in the life of the main character. Will he go mad or will he actually find a dragon hidden somewhere in the future? I for one can't wait to find out.
