This story shows all of the best elements of her style of erotica, Of course, we have the scintillating descriptions of those beautiful and sexy Nightside women. One gets to feeling hot just reading about how erotic Betty looks. Next we have her erotic descriptions of hot acts of sex, many of them truly unique. In addition, Nightside resurrects one of her old techniques that she used in the story "Giggles and Lust: From Scientist to Bimbo" in which the transforming heroine, still trying tor retain her old feminist self, struggles internally with her new sexy self. The temptations that the new self uses are very salacious. When Betty finally yields to her sexy self and allows all the lewd and wanton desires to become dominant in her mind, it is one hot scene. And then we have that marvelously erotic quality of pride. The best of Nightside' sexy women realized that they are devastatingly sexy, simply irresistible to all men. But no, these women would not waste their time with most males. They would hold themselves for only the best, most sexually dominating man. There is something so arousing about a woman who knows that she has all the attributes that make her worthy to worship and serve only the most superior of men, men who will crush others who are in their way. For the rest of society's males, such women come to hold nothing but arrogant disregard. Incredibly gorgeous and sexy Lilah, Castle's primary wife, has this quality in spades. Betty apparently did not originally, but it is there inside of her and Castle and Lilah awaken it within her. Because she assumes this new role, Betty is sexually satisfied as never before. She comes to recognize that her husband, Lane, is completely inferior to her sexually. Betty's distain for Lane dissipates until he totally forgotten. Her friends now treat her as an empress, to be adored and whose needs must be eagerly seen to. Such haughtiness is a real turn-on for me. Nightside has returned with all of her best writing.

Heir to Passion By April R Symes This was a fantastic way to send the series in Heir Salon- You have feminist Betty who now is so “transformed” yet she continues to wage battle inside her mind. Betty wants to be an independent thinker but Passion Heights is firmly under the control of Castle and his wife, beautiful Lilah.In this story, we get to see how Betty ended up the way she did and “married” to Castle”. There Is so much passion, intense animal chemistry and outright sexual lust that oozed from each page that I immensely enjoyed. The interaction between Betty and Castle was so hot, I am surprised my Kindle didn’t metl in my hands. The ending was good and it gave us a look where the characters were a few weeks after the story ended. There is so much animal attraction in this story along with a good flow in this story. The author has an actual story going and it kept me hooked , needing to know outcome and now what the outcome is, I am sad the story is over. I loved the twists and turns the story took and book 3 is no different with the twists and turns.My rating: 4.6 stars***A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review****

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Nice end to Betty's story By Ly G This is the conclusion to the Heir Salon series. A portion of the book takes place in Betty's head. And you get a good picture of her Bimbo self and her 'normal' self fighting it out. During the fight she meets the man in charge. He gives her an interesting choice and lets her decide if she wants to be his newest wife. You'll have to read to see which Betty wins and if she stays with Lane or moves on to bigger and better with Mr. Castle.This book is interesting in explaining the bimbofication methods and how Betty is different. I like that she had moments of clarity and the fight in her head to decide what she wanted. It was a little wierd for this type of story as there was a lot of turned on people but no real actual sex. So it was more of the tantalization than a true blow by blow per say.

My grand daughter has a degree in teaching but we live in El paso Tx. If you don't speak Spanish you're just out of luck. She graduated with a 3.8 and a whole bunch of other things and still didn't get a job. She had to move to get a job. I thought this was the United states of America not Mexico I congratulate Mrs. TOLAND FOR HER COURAGE and determination. Great book and a great awakening to what our teachers have to go through if they can even get a job.

The book tells in realistic, plain language what being a teacher is really like. From the first chapter when a tornado strikes the school where she teaches to the last chapter with unique plumbing problems I enjoyed every page. My favorite part was the kid and the mouse. I laughed until I cried.

The story presents a number of interesting characters and a gripping mystery. The socioeconomic issues that are present are done sympathetically, both in terms of the poorer/African American segments of the community and the gay community.The characters are well developed and told with an understanding of their personal histories.The murder and crime scenes are some of the strongest in the story. The crime scene is particularly visceral and quite realistic. The murder scene provides enough justification for the violence of the act.Characterization is one of the strongest attributes the central characters are fleshed out and sympathetic.There is a palpable southern flavor in the style and description of things like the plants and regional foods. One can smell the chicken frying and taste the crunch of the browned chicken skin. The magnolias release their fragrance to soften the harsh edges of the story.The compassion and humor is the thread that holds this gripping story together.

Fillingim Contrary to the lady who wrote that the book "was written on a 6th grade level", I found the book to be well-written and interesting. The book was never intended to be a factual account of a murder from the past. There may have been elements of the tragic story and subsequent murder that occurred in Montgomery, but the author uses her imagination and sense of suspense for what could have happened. I spent many happy summers in Montgomery in the 1950's and found the book captured my imagination of what could have taken place. Good job, Charlotte Magruder. Would like to see more of your fiction.Kay Fillingim

The character development gave me insight as to how there may be such a thing as justifiable homicide. I also gained an understanding of southern culture, and how a town comes together to protect their own. The book combines many of the themes that are in the news today which include homophobia, abuse of power, and cover ups on top of racial inequalities. Magruder uses these underlying themes and bring it all together in a perfect storm called "Murder in Montgomery".

Having no meal plan I had to cook for myself and without a nifty kitchen to work with the Microwave and the mini fridge were my key players in surviving college. Without This book I would have had a much more difficult time keeping my meals varied more or less healthy and within budget. It saved me time and money and I ended up actually loosing some weight I gained in my freshman year! Go Carmen Nelson!

I thought I would try out some recipes first to help her out. The ingredients in this cookbook are things I don't buy or have at home, how on earth would a college student have these things? This cookbook is meant for a single person living in an apartment not a college student in a dorm. It was a waste of money and I was very disappointed.

By Rebecca I feel like I say the same thing with every one of Jamie McGuire's books. I love every single one. That is how you know you've found that author. The one that pulls you in and keeps you in their world from the first page. The author that makes you care about her characters and feel like you actually know them. The one that gives you all kinds of feelings about people that aren't real. The author that no matter what she writes, you buy it. You don't even have to read what the book is about, you know it's going to be brilliant. That is Jamie McGuire and her work. That is the type of author that she is.The Providence Series pulled me in from the start and I loved all three books. I was so excited when I found out she was writing this one about Eden. We fell in love with all of the characters in the first three books and this one was no different. I loved Eden and the way she didn't take crap from anyone. She stood up for herself but knew when to hold back. This family's love for one another is heartwarming and encouraging. We get introduced to Levi in Sins of the Innocent. He's supposed to be bad, Eden's enemy, but he's the complete opposite. I loved the way that Jamie added in her twists and turns, her surprises and holy sh*t moments. Eden is so strong and knows what she has to do. I had a death grip on my kindle and I may have even yelled at it a couple of times, thinking I could somehow change what was happening. It will pull you in and keep you in its grasp until the last page, and even after you're done reading it you'll still be thinking about it.I was drawn into the fight between Heaven and Hell from the beginning of this series and this book just continued pulling me in. When I got to the end, I kept going back to the page before and the next page trying to find more. I didn't want it to be over, to end. Of course, I never do when it comes to Jamie's books. I hope this isn't the last book for this series, I love these characters too much and I can't wait to see where they go from here. (If there's another one) Thank you Jamie McGuire for giving us such truly magnificent stories, that stay with us long after we've read those last words, "The End."

I highly recommend you read Providence, Requiem, and Eden; before reading my review and Sins Of The Innocent.Sins Of The Innocent takes place about 18 years after the end of the novel Eden. SOTI is told through Eden's POV. Having been born to a Merovingia and a half human/fallen angel; Eden has trained her entire life knowing someday she may need to save the human race. Eden has only one friend, Morgan; her best friend. Eden thinks that she will have a "normal" summer leading up to her first semester at Brown University. That is until Levi, a mysterious and dangerous guy introduces himself. Not able to trust Levi, and not able to get the whole truth from her parents, Eden seeks advice from an old powerful family friend. Given clues to what her true purpose is, Eden has to make a difficult choice. Continue not trusting the one person who she's been taught could destroy her, or trust him, and maybe find out what her truth is.Wow, this novella by Jamie McGuire was just fantastic. I read the Providence series last spring and when I found out Jamie McGuire was writing this, I was ecstatic. Not only did I really enjoy meeting Eden and Levi, I loved seeing some of my favorite characters from the series years later. In true McGuire form, there were moments that made me laugh, swoon, and that last chapter really got me emotional. I'll leave you with one of my favorite lines: "You remind me why humanity isn’t a waste. My dad says that one is all it takes … and that’s you.”

By C at Prisoners of Print Oh dear goodness, is there any genre that Jamie McGuire can’t make a reader fall in love with? Sins of the Innocent is a follow-up novella that allows readers to glimpse into the life of Eden, the product of Jared and Nina’s relationship in the Providence series. Based on the feelings McGuire gave me in the trilogy, I knew I would be in for a heck of a ride, but I never ever could have predicted where the author was going to take me.“Forgiveness isn’t necessary. You can’t save everyone, Eden.”I loved that Eden was a younger character who was trying to find her way. She was not only struggling with the normal teenager stuff, but she was dealing with the repercussions of being the Balance Keeper for the universe. I also adored that she was this sassy, kick-butt heroine! She was so strong, and at times cocky, that she stood out among a sea of characters. On the other side of the coin, we had Levi who came with his own backstory of complications. He had this dark, mysterious charm to him. As a reader, I was completely and utterly drawn to him, evil or not. I savored the way that readers got to only see pieces of him, which they then had to put together like a puzzle.“In the horror show of gods and monsters, I was the star.”I loved the underlying themes of good versus evil, as well as fate versus our choices in Sins of the Innocent. There was something about the events and they storyline that fascinated me. The book focuses on the consequences faced because of a prophecy made. However, it ultimately was the characters’ intentions and choices that would result in how the prophecy came true. I got lost in the pages and had the hardest time putting the book down. I know that paranormal romances aren’t for everyone, but McGuire is an artist and will make you feel comfortable with the settings and even fall in love.“It’s incredibly beautiful to watch humans learn. It’s all about learning, Eden. That’s what life is. A hundred years of lessons disguised as experiences. Good and bad.”I’m so glad that even after six years, McGuire has chosen to revisit these characters. It’s one of those worlds that I fell in love with as soon as I encountered it, and was enthralled even more with the continuation in Sins of the Innocent. This novella is a quick afternoon read, but I promise that it will not disappoint! Jamie, I kind of do want to throw things at you right now, but I can definitely say that I’m looking forward to whatever it is you produce next!

By Kindle Customer I love discovering new authors, who can fit modern day problems in their books by cleverly disguising them as science fiction. I cannot wait to read World Forgotten. I do not judge a book by grammar and other mechanics, but of the 5 books, this was the only one that could have used a second pair of eyes in a few places. Keep writing Kaelynn, you got the spirit of a true Seannachie.

I was immersed into the story in the first few pages and couldn’t flip them fast enough to find out what would happen next. The authors have truly out done themselves in this story. I felt the rainbow of emotions while reading it. Those are my favorite types of books. The ones that make me feel and think. One of the things I love and admire in their writing is that they tackle very real issues and make the story so relatable with how they tell it. I fell in love with Tony and his insecurities. My heart bled for Rob and his battle with addiction. But with Levi’s story, my heart wrenched and twisted with the just how turned around his world became because of two women. Two very different people for him that wreaked havoc on his very balanced world.I have a soft spot for all the men in their series, but Levi really stole my heart. I was very eager to get my hands on his book because of how he came across in the previous two books. I knew there was so much more about him and the authors didn’t disappoint on opening more of his world up. I enjoyed really having an insight into his psyche and the tolls being a submissive has on him. What I really love about Levi is that he is constantly looking out for everyone around him before he deals with his own issues. How he cared for Rob in his hour of need was amazing to me…even when it jeopardized the precious balance he needs for his work. I also loved watching him as he dealt with such strong emotions throughout the book. He swooned me more than once and that is just one of the many emotions he brought out in me. He’s climbed his way into my top five book boyfriends and I have a new love for gingers all together.The book begins with Levi and Rob on a retreat that was intended to help Levi find a little balance before he started a new tour for work that was sure to test his limits. Little did he know that he would lose a piece of himself on this retreat at the hands of the mysterious Leylah. I loved her character. She was a strong female lead and it’s refreshing to have a women in a leading role that isn’t afraid to speak her mind.I can’t share a lot in this review but let’s just sparks fly with Levi and Leylah and you don’t want to blink while flipping the pages because you don’t want to miss anything. You need to go one-click this book today! It’s not only a must read but the words within this book will touch your heart in more ways than one. You’ll go on an emotional rollercoaster but it’s so worth it. The emotions I’ve felt while reading this series is what draws me in even more and dying for the next installment to come out. There isn’t one thing in this book that disappoints. The authors will keep you guessing until the very end on just how things will end up. I tip my hat to the authors for really out-doing themselves with the latest installment in this series. I am not so patiently waiting for your next book because I’m a reader for life.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Levi! Love of my Life! By kamlin98 Oh Levi, my sweet sweet Amish milk boy! More like my naughty naughty Amish milk boy. Every time I read a Has-Been book I think, "This is my favorite one, it can't get any better than this." But the writing duo behind this series continue to prove me wrong. All the Has-Been boys have a soft spot in my heart but I honestly had a dream about drinking hot cocoa with Levi in a Swiss chalet, no one better rain on my Swiss Chalet Parade. Levi is such a great character, equal parts empathetic, comforting, and yet ruggedly handsome and determined. He makes the perfect foil Leylah, who has a guarded personality in the beginning. But as she opens up during the course of the book you see that like Levi she is very empathetic and caring but with a spine of steel. I found that the use of BDSM was an excellent method for expressing both the physical and emotional journey that Leylah and Levi were on. I thought that the authors showed an extraordinary knowledge of both the mechanics of BDSM and also the ins and out of the intense and complicated emotional aspects of a BDSM relationship. Not to mention these two have dynamic sexual chemistry, this book is crazy crazy HOT!! The plot was perfectly paced leaving you satisfied and also yearning for more, with the authors' traditionally flawless writing style this book imminently enjoyable and another phenomenal addition to the series.

As much as I have liked the other books in this series, I have to say that this is my absolute favorite so far! Levi has kind of always been my favorite even though he is the quietest and most reserved of the bunch. I loved everything about Levi's story. It first off, was most definitely full of humor. I know I caught myself laughing out loud a few times, even in the doctor's office while I was waiting for my appointment. But all the other aspects of this story together with the humor, is what made this a 5 star read for me. The connection that Levi had not only with Leylah, but the connection that he had with each and every member of their group. The love that he has for Rod, Ric and Tony is a love that is so special that nothing can break it, even though it has been tested. But these guys, along with Avery and Emmy, are Levi's family. They are his family that replaced his other family when he decided to leave the Amish. The bond between this "family" is one that some blood families never reach. There isn't anything that these members won't do for each other. With Tony adding Emmy to the family with their upcoming wedding, it just adds more strength and love to that bond. It will be nice to see this little family grow. Amazing jobs girls, I think, for me anyway, that this is my favorite so far!

In chapters alternating between past and present, readers learn about the sweet friendship Kelsey and David shared when they both lived in Connecticut, before friends, family, illness, and awkward fumblings toward something more tore them apart. In the present, their bond (and attraction) is still strong, much to the dismay of Kelsey's jock boyfriend, who seems to be keeping a secret of his own. Both David and Kelsey have suffered significant traumas in the recent past, which the author reveals piece by piece. Most of the heavier plot points are well weighted, and much care is taken getting both characters on the same page in terms of relationship readiness. While the build up to a happy ending is strung out a little too long, the teens are allowed plenty of heart fluttering moments along the way. The parallel between what Kelsey went through at the hands of some cliquey girls at her old school and her reinvention as a popular kid at her new school is well drawn, giving depth and context to types of girls that are often drawn as stereotypes in teen fiction. Literally my last four reads have been contemporary, and all four of them were three-star reads. I'm doing a week of YA contemporary reads - starting with Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry, The Summer of Chasing Mermaids by Sarah Ockler, The Devil You Know by Trish Doller, Last Year's Mistake by Gina Ciocca, and finally, P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han.I don't enjoy YA contemporary, so this was a mini challenge for myself. I'm totally rocking my challenge, but not liking these books very much!This novel is told in alternating chapters of past and present. Kelsey and David were once inseparable, best friends, platonic relationship. Then Kelsey moved with her family, and things went downhill with David just before they moved. Now in a new place, Kelsey is living a different life without David. But when David shows up in her life again, things change. David moves into town and Kelsey can't stop thinking about what could have been.I have been looking forward to reading this book for over a year now! I'm not at all a contemporary fan (unless it's adult contemporary romance), but I wanted to give this book a shot. It sounds love-triangle-y, and I knew this from the start, but I had high hopes for this book. I could say I was a bit disappointed in some ways, but at the same time, I'm really glad I read this one.I liked how this book was told. Every other chapter alternated between past and present. If you didn't pick up on this (how could you know, the time is clearly marked at the beginning of each chapter), then you'd be a bit confused. But I like how it was two stories being told at the same time. We discover the past as we discover the present. Ciocca does a really great job of paralleling both stories, including parts of the past that correspond and coincide with parts of the present.I think I liked the characters, though I'm not sure I fully connected with Kelsey (more on that later). I liked reading about her relationship (past and present) with David. The two of them make an interesting pair, and have such a nice but sad history. Their present relationship, for a lot of this book, was really heartbreaking!Also - yay for a positive sister-sister relationship! Miranda is years younger than Kelsey, in her first year of high school, but it's obvious that they have a great relationship. Love!I liked the ending of this book! It wrapped up way too quickly (she makes a decision within the last couple of pages), but it's a good ending. I feel like Kelsey doesn't actually learn and grow until this very point, when she makes a decision to go back and find the boy. Character development is slow in this book, but everything, in the end, ends well! On to dislikes.What I Did Not Like:I haven't mentioned the romance yet. Here it is: yes, there is a sort of love triangle in this book. Meaning, Kelsey has a current boyfriend who she really cares about, but she's been in love with David since they were young. When he shows up again, she remembers that she loves him, and pretty much falls for him all over again.I didn't mind this love triangle as much because I knew for a fact who Kelsey would choose (it's obvious). The other boy, Ryan, is a great boyfriend, but we can see who Kelsey really loves. It's all about the journey. I hate love triangles, but this love triangle was "okay". Still hate them, but this one was tolerable.The thing that really bothered me about this love triangle was kind of how the triangle was "taken care of". Why does one boy have to be a terrible person, or do terrible things? Why is that the deciding factor, the last straw? Is that how love triangles work in real life - a girl loves two boys but then one of them screws up so that automatically means she goes and chooses the other boy? I'm not saying Kelsey loved both of them - but she only went to one over the other after she finds out about something important that one boy did. Huh.That type of resolution just seems so cliche, especially when it comes to resolving love triangles.I mentioned that Kelsey's character development doesn't really feel complete until the very end, when she makes a decision with one boy. This book moves at a very slow pace. The story is slow, the dual plots are slow, the romance is ridiculously slow. Despite the fact that the cover is very steamy, the romance is not. The character development is slow, and I feel like Kelsey doesn't really grow up until the last few pages. If she grows up at all. Does she? I don't like A LOT of her decisions in this book. But I won't spoil anything (hopefully I've kept things vague) so I won't say anymore!Also, point of confusion - I'm still confused as to why David moved to Kelsey's "new" town. And then he's moving again... why are they moving so much? I'm not sure I understood this.In any case, I was a little disappointed in this book because I think I wanted a steamier romance and less of a love triangle, but I'm glad I gave this book a shot!Would I Recommend It:Despite all that, I'd recommend this book, even to love triangle haters like myself! It was a decent YA contemporary novel, not too bogged down by the past and angst and issues. I'll definitely be looking out for more of Ciocca's books, despite not loving this one (like I had hoped).Rating:3.5 stars -> rounded down to 3 stars. This one would be a solid 3.5 stars though. It was good! I enjoyed it and didn't stop reading until the very end. I just wish certain things were better written, and certain things were more present.

By Mike Hartner This is a great summer read, and should be added to the TBR pile of anyone who enjoys YA.LYM is a love story, and it comes at the story from two timelines. The first, the past, is presented in alternating chapters with the second, the present. And yet, both of them spiral around each other, much like the characters, being drawn together as moths to a flame. Closer and closer things get the further into the book you read.Working the past in through alternating chapters is something thatches a lot of skill, and Gina has mastered that.I'm definitely looking forward to more of Gina's writing.

Kelsey hasn't seen David for more than a year when he shows up at her new school. They used to be inseparable; now, they can barely look at one another. But David's return throws Kelsey into a tailspin of memories about everything they shared. The book jumps back and forth between senior year and freshmen/sophomore year, filling in Kelsey and David's backstory gradually. A great read!

By BEATRICE PINTO Este es el segundo libro de esta serie. .. estaba muy intrigada por el personaje de Rashir muchas veces crean un personaje secundario espectacular y en el libro donde son protagonistas pierden intensidad .Gracias a dios este no es el caso ... todo lo contrario más humano , varonil INTENSO uffff hermoso este personaje su concubina. .. no se queda atrás refrescante ... sumisa y fiera una combinación perfecta que me hizo quererla .En fin que se puede decir de kelly simplemente una escritora con la que siempre voy a la segura para sumegirme en una apasionante historia romántica.
